Course purpose
This advanced course applies professional ethics to the practical decisions made during investigative accounting engagements. It provides a structured method for identifying ethical threats, evaluating their significance, applying safeguards and documenting unresolved concerns. Learners examine conflicts, independence, competence, confidentiality, evidence integrity, subject fairness, external experts, technology, pressure, suspected non-compliance and responsible reporting. The course treats ethical conduct as an operating control throughout the engagement rather than a declaration made only at acceptance.
