Course purpose
This Advanced course develops the judgement and design skills needed to build an organization-wide investigation framework. Learners translate legal, ethical, governance and operational requirements into principles, authority, intake and triage rules, case classifications, process stages, decision gates, role definitions, evidence controls, quality assurance, metrics and improvement arrangements. The framework is designed to be proportionate, adaptable and reviewable across different allegation types and jurisdictions. It supports, but does not replace, competent legal advice, collective agreements, sector rules, professional standards or the authorized mandate for an individual case. The course does not create compulsory powers, authorize surveillance or device acquisition, determine privilege, prescribe disciplinary outcomes, guarantee admissibility or permit unrestricted personal-data use. Every organization must validate the framework against its applicable law, rights, contracts, records duties, regulator expectations and operational risk.
