Course purpose
This Advanced course equips practitioners to identify and control legal risk in cross-border investigations. Learners map jurisdiction and authority; plan lawful evidence preservation, collection, review and transfer; distinguish voluntary, compulsory, regulatory and international-cooperation channels; protect privilege, confidentiality, personal data and affected rights; support tracing and asset measures; and document legal decisions through handover and closure. The manual is educational and does not provide legal advice, authorize covert activity, determine privilege, compel evidence, override sovereign authority or prescribe action in any jurisdiction. Applicable treaties operate through domestic law and competent authorities. Engage qualified counsel and responsible authorities before acting.
