Course purpose
This course applies forensic-accounting methods to supply chain management. It shows how to map suppliers, intermediaries, contracts, goods, documents, payments and inventory from demand planning through sourcing, receipt, storage, delivery and settlement. Learners test conflicts, shell or related suppliers, bid manipulation, false invoicing, quantity and quality substitution, inventory diversion, logistics abuse, trade-based money-laundering indicators and unsupported sustainability or origin claims. The course treats anomalies as prompts for inquiry rather than automatic proof of fraud. It also separates financial reconstruction from customs, engineering, quality, sanctions, environmental and legal conclusions that require appropriate specialists and current jurisdictional requirements.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. Map end-to-end supply chain parties, authority, documents, goods, systems, payments and control points into an evidence-led review plan.
2. Test supplier ownership, procurement decisions, product movement, inventory, trade documents and payments for supported exceptions and relationships.
3. Quantify financial effects and recommend proportionate control, traceability and resilience actions with clear ownership and specialist boundaries.
