Course purpose
This course introduces a controlled response to crises involving suspected financial misconduct, evidence loss, cyber disruption, regulatory attention or public allegations. It equips learners to recognise escalation triggers, activate governance, protect people and evidence, establish decision and information controls, coordinate investigative workstreams and support recovery and learning without allowing urgency to override law or professional ethics.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
1. Recognise a forensic-accounting crisis and activate proportionate governance, escalation and stabilisation controls.
2. Prioritise people, evidence, financial continuity, legal dependencies and reliable information during the response.
3. Coordinate investigation, stakeholder communication and recovery through documented decisions and lessons learned.
