Course purpose
This Advanced course develops evidence-led, rapport-based and non-coercive interviewing for complex organizational and financial investigations. Learners design an interview strategy; assess role, vulnerability, language, culture, representation and retaliation risk; plan topics and evidence; use open recall, probing, clarification, summaries and appropriate challenge; manage multiple interviewers, interpreters, remote sessions, prepared statements and silence; evaluate accounts against records; and produce accurate, reviewable interview outputs. The emphasis is information gathering and testing, not confession seeking. The course does not provide jurisdiction-specific legal advice, authorize detention or compulsion, replace specialist safeguarding practice, or permit deception, threats, promises, oppressive repetition, credibility scoring or predetermined conclusions. Applicable employment, criminal, regulatory, privacy, equality, representation, recording, disclosure and evidence rules must be confirmed for each interview.
